Boston Climate Action Network

Ready to rise to the challenge of global climate change? Needing a green-collar job? Want some tips and tricks on how to save money while saving energy? Can’t wait to power up with clean technology?

If you live, work, or play in Boston, come “ride the green wave” with Boston Climate Action Network. Join us at an event and stick around to help build a political movement to turn around our oil-addicted country. This website will give you a sample of what we’ve been doing over the last couple of years. Here’s a video clip from our green jobs forum with national green jobs leader Van Jones and City of Boston Department of Environment and Energy chief Jim Hunt. The video below is an excerpt from Van Jones’ remarks that day.

In addition to our organizing for green collar jobs that provide pathways out of poverty, we also sponsor movie nights, speakers, public rallies, and energy conservation workshops in various Boston neighborhoods.

Check out our “Save Energy” page for more information about Low Carbon Living and Global Warming Cafes. By saving energy at home, at work, and in how you travel, you can save money and cut down your own contribution to global warming. Low Carbon Living is a win-win-win! And check out our “Take Action” page for our current political and educational campaigns. Our “Links” page will hook you up with videos from some of our activities and with related groups in Massachusetts and nationally.

BostonCAN is part of the Massachusetts Climate Action Network, an umbrella organization linking town and city groups throughout the state.
